Summary: This 1977 Gibson ES-355 TDSV is fitted with a vibrato, and beautifully appointed with gold-plating throughout, block position marker inlays and the famous split diamond headstock inlay.


This magnificent  jazz guitar reflects all the beauty and skill of the guitar maker's art. With tone ranging from a clear treble to a throaty bass, with thrilling vibrato and instant response, it offers the artist a truly amazing range of sound.




Body: Laminated Maple in a Wine Red finish.




Neck:  Mahogany with a Ebony fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.55” nut width, 22 frets,  pearl block inlay, split-diamond inlay on the headstock.


 


Pickups/Hardware: Gibson PAF pickups, Gibson tuning keys, Lyre vibrato, ABR-1 bridge, top hat knobs,  bone nut.


 


Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body, with some light typical checking and small dings and dents overall. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.




Modifications: The varitone circuit and stereo functionality is not functioning, and has been disconnected and is now wired like standard Les Paul/ES-335 pickup controls, replaced pickguard/trem arm.





Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
