Bold, sleek, and unapologetically distinct, the 2024 Gibson Theodore in Ebony is a striking reissue of a long-lost design straight from the vaults of Gibson history. Originally sketched by Ted McCarty in 1957 but never released in his time, the Theodore merges vintage inspiration with modern playability—and in this deep black finish, it's more menacingly elegant than ever. The Theodore features a lightweight and resonant chambered alder body with a sculpted double-cut silhouette unlike anything else in the Gibson lineup. Its ergonomic contours and minimalist design are paired with a mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard, offering a warm tonal foundation and smooth, responsive feel. The neck sports a comfortable SlimTaper profile and a 22-fret, 24.75" scale length familiar to Gibson players.Additional features include a Tune-O-Matic bridge with a stopbar tailpiece, Grover tuners for solid tuning stability, and black top-hat knobs to complement the sleek Ebony finish. A black pickguard and minimalist headstock design round out the guitar's sharp visual presence. The 2024 Theodore isn’t just a nod to Gibson’s past—it’s a bold step into its future. With limited production and a design that stands apart from the crowd, this guitar is a rare mix of history, innovation, and attitude.
