Assistant Manager/Lead Sales Person and Buyer

Job Responsibilities:

The person to fill this role will provide excellent customer service in the buying and selling of instruments. The assistant manager will work closely with the store manager to evolve and expand the store vision. They will exhibit strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

 

• Help customers make selections by offering well informed suggestions and opinions

• Lead the sales staff in the research, appraisal and purchase of used items

• Processes sales and purchases via a Quickbooks point of sale system

• Assist in e-commerce maintenance

• Assist in inventory management

• Delegate the answering of online correspondence

• Organize consignments and track them through to customer payout

• Assist in the ordering of new inventory

• Assist in creating a procedures manual

• Answer emails and field customer phone calls

• Direct staff in maintaining a clean and organized retail environment

• Work closely with the manager in the creation and execution of store policies

• Assist in the day to day supervision of employees including training

• Coordinate, monitor and report on daily operations

• Provide second line customer service

• Execute opening and closing procedure

 

 

The Ideal candidate:

--is self motivated and dependable

– is detail oriented

--is organized and can handle multiple tasks at once

--has prior management experience (preferably in industry)

–has prior experience buying and selling instruments

--has strong written and verbal communication skills

--has a strong general knowledge of the used and vintage gear

--is comfortable using computers and learning software procedures

--works well in a team

--enjoys being a part of the community of musicians and gear lovers

Full Time: Starting wage dependent on experience

Position includes: Health Care, Dental, 401k and sick time, vacation and personal time (with a wait period)
