M.G. Contreras Classical Calle Mayor 1987 Natural
Summary: This MG Contreras classical was handcrafted in Spain. It sounds and looks very beautiful. It is in pretty good shape but does have a few cosmetic blemishes. The frets have just been polished and we strung it up with a new set of nylon strings. It sounds superb and ships in a high quality padded gig bag. We will ship it professionally packed and fully insured!
Body: Cedar top, rosewood back and sides, center stripe inlay in the back, multi-ply wood binding and elegantly intricate rosette.
Neck: Mahogany neck with rosewood center stripe, ebony fretboard, 25.5” scale length and 2” nut width.
Pickups/Hardware: Gold tuning machines with pearlescent buttons, rosewood bridge, bone saddle and nut.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in pretty good shape but does have a finish cracks on the upper and lower bout where the finish has cracked off and the binding has been crushed in. It looks stable and does not pose structural hazard. The rest of the guitar is mostly blemish free, save for a few small dents in the top and a couple light scratches on the back which are hardly noticeable.
Playability: The action is 5mm at the 12th fret and it plays really well with lots of sustain and note clarity. The neck is straight, the strings are fresh and the fret are in wonderful shape.
