Music Man Bongo 5-String
Summary: The Bongo 5 represents everything a modern bass should be: well balanced, comfortable, resonant, and expressive with effortless playability. The double-cutaway basswood body design is of superior construction and along with a 24-fret finished neck offers unimpeded access for high register two-octave fretwork. The Bongo 5 comes equipped with two Ernie Ball Music Man proprietary humbucking pickups, 4 band eq, Neodymium magnets, and 18V active preamp that delivers a powerful combination of unparalleled tonal diversity.
Body: Bass wood with a gloss maroon finish.
Neck: Maple with an Ebony fingerboard, 34” scale length, 1.75” nut width, 11” radius, half moon inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Dual Humbucking with Neodymium magnets, 4-band active preamp; vol, bridge/neck pickup balance, treble, high-mid, low-mid, bass controls, Standard - Music Man chrome plated, hardened steel bridge plate with stainless steel saddles, open gear tuning keys.
Cosmetics: This bass is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body. The edge of the headstock has some wear down to the wood. The hardware is slightly tarnished. There is a bigger scuff near the pickguard. (See Photos Please)
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
